Medical Coverage
With a Private Fee-for-Service Plan, you may go to any doctor or hospital anywhere in the country that is Medicare-approved, willing to provide care, and accepts Tufts Medicare Preferred's terms and conditions of payment. When you go to a doctor or hospital, just remember to always inform the provider that you are enrolled in a Medicare PFFS plan. With our PFFS plan, you'll get*:
Note
A Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-Service plan works differently than a Medicare supplement plan. Your doctor or hospital is not required to agree to accept the plan's terms and conditions, and thus may choose not to treat you, with the exception of emergencies. If your doctor or hospital does not agree to accept our payment terms and conditions, they may choose not to provide health care services to you, except in emergencies. Providers can find the plan's terms and conditions on our website at: tuftshealthplan.com/medicare.
*Co-payment, deductibles and limitations apply
Prescription Drug Coverage Available
With Tufts Medicare Preferred PFFS, you can choose to have both medical and prescription drug coverage in one plan. We help make it simple... and affordable.
With Tufts Medicare Preferred PFFS, you have the option to receive medical coverage only, or you can add Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. You may choose from two prescription drug options, Rx and Rx Plus. Our prescription drug options are available to anyone who joins Tufts Medicare Preferred PFFS.
